Okay I'm Back...

"Just living is not enough," said the butterfly, "one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower." ~Hans Christian Anderson
Hey everyone!

I have mildly run off the face of the planet (i.e.the blogosphere) to take care of my health, care of Tulane's ER, more crazy nerve medications that I can count, and this:

For future reference, Bubble Gum is not the best flavor of Pedialyte, but the sheer novelty makes it worth it in my eyes. Plus, its bright pink color makes it match everything in my room, from my desk lamp to my duct tape (powerade, though containing more glucose than someone who can hardly walk needs (according to my doctor), does much better with marketing to my age bracket, in my opinion). The docs still don't know what exactly is wrong, but they think they've narrowed it down to my nervous system. I am starting to wish I paid more attention to that in A&P back in my Fitchburg State days...this whole ordeal is actually making me wish I had stuck with nursing, but maybe I'll get back to it in grad school.

I don't really have the attention span to do these issues/concepts justice, but luckily cyber/real life amigos of mine have already covered them so I don't have to- I can just direct more people to their blogs!

+ Fitchburg peeps: kindly direct your attention to Unicow's post about DiNatale preferring streetlights to firefighters at some point- it's pretty telling. He also had a good response to Hargraves being inanely homophobic per usual.

+ Americans who are having tea parties today: Unless you're in DC, you really can't talk about lack of representation, and there wasn't a net tax increase. Just ask my super cool brother Andy! I think he summed it up nicely:-) Also check out my relevant quiz!

+ Kudos to Joe over at Amplify for posting this video response from Iowa state senator Mike Gronstal when asked to cosponsor a ban on gay marriage. It's kinda cute and touching:-)

Finally, New Orleans people- eat at Fresco's today (4.15) and mention Kappa Kappa Psi or the Tulane Marching Band and 20% of your bill will go to my awesome band fraternity! Just in case you need an excuse to eat at one of the best restaurants in walking distance of campus:-)
